GAS Industry Company for Industrial Services (a Saudi Joint Venture formed by ACWA HOLDING and AIR PRODUCTS CHEMICALS) was awarded a contract by Saudi Aramco to build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) the world’s largest industrial gas complex to supply 75,000 metric tons per day (20,000 oxygen and 55,000 nitrogen) to Saudi Aramco’s refinery being built in Jazan, Saudi Arabia for 20 years.
The industrial gas complex will be designed and built by Air Products using its proprietary technology. The project company (Jazan Gaz) is owned by GAS Industry Company for Industrial Services (51%) and ACWA Holding (49%)
ACWA Power International is an independent developer, owner and operator of power generation and desalinated water production plants. As a lead developer, API selects the optimal technical solution for each project, procures the appropriate engineering, procurement and construction solution, prepares a robust business case and a financial model, structures equity and debt financing, and submits a competitive and comprehensive offer to supply water and/or power on a BOO/BOT/BOOT basis.
